Curriculum of Studies

Education in Kendirya Vidyalaya spans over a period of 12 years from class I to XII. The examination and courses of study followed upto class VIII (Middle Level) are those prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training. From Class IX onwards, the scheme of studies prescribed for the 10+2 pattern by the CBSE is adopted in Kendirya Vidyalayas. The students are prepared for the AISS (Class X) and AISSC (Class XII) Exams of the CBSE, New Delhi. Due emphasis is laid on the curriculum on national identity and value of education.

The following subjects are taught in the Vidyalaya

1 English 2 Hindi 3 Sanskrit (Compulsory from VI to VIII) 4 Mathematics 5 a) Environmental Studies (Physical) (I to V Classes) and b) General Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) 6 a) Environmental Studies (Social) (I to V Classes) 7 b) Social Studies (History, Civics, Geography & Economics) in classes VI to VIII, Social Studies will be taught in Hindi and English provided there are 20 students to opt for English. 8 Work Experience 9 Art 10 Physical & Health Education / Games. 11 Music 12 Computer Literacy.
